Gail worked for the NJ Highway Authority Avtive in Jersey City politics. After graduating St . Alysius Academy, Jersey City, Gail married her childhood sweetheart Kenneth Ernst, and had three sons John, Kevin and Kenneth J. She was appointed as C.E.T.A director in Jersey City in 1978 and served until 1981. She wasactive in Jersey City politics in the 1970s and 1980s, and served as a Democratic committeewomen for Ward B. She also served on the Board of Managers for the Jersey City Medical Center, and was named Woman of Achievement in 1978. Gail retired from the New Jersey Highway Authority in 2003 after 20 years of service. She moved to Brick N.J. in 1997. She leaves behind her loving husband of 43 years Kenneth, her sons and daughters in law, John and Brdget, Kevin and Cathy, Kenneth and Elizabeth and four grandchildren, Justin, Cassandra and Lindaey Ernst and Brain Harrington.
