MARION - Services for Robert C. "Bobby" Bryant, 75, will be held at 2 p.m. today, January 5, 2003 at West Marion Baptist Church with the Rev. Maxie Hardee and the Rev. Larry Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Old Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Smith-Collins Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Bryant died Friday, January 3, 2003 in Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Born August 19, 1927 in Marion County, he was a son of the late Herbert and Corine Perritt Bryant. He was a retired farmer and was employed with Border Ford. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was also a member of West Marion Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Boatwright Bryant of the home; son, Donald R. Bryant and his wife, Charlene, of Marion; daughter, Paula Bryant Turner and her husband, Wayne, of Florence; brother, Ray Bryant and his wife, Vivian, of Harleyville; sister, Faye Bryant Rogers and her husband, Jon, of Zion; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Martin Bryant and brother, Cecil Bryant.
