Patrick Leahy [sic], a Soldier, of Ballina, son of Patrick Leahy, a Tailor, married Mary Rutledge, of Ardnaree, Ballina, daughter of Patrick Rutledge, a Labourer, on 3 April 1899, at Ballina Church, Ballina, Co. Mayo.
The witnesses were John Hopkins and Ann McGlynn
In the 1911 census, Patrick and Mary Lackey, together with four of their five children, were living at McLoughlin's Lane, Ballina.
Patrick Lackey was said to be 40 years old, a General Labourer.
Mary Lackey was said to be 38 years old.
He and his wife Mary had been married 12 years, and had 5 children, all of whom were living.
Patrick, aged 11, a Scholar,
Michael, son, aged 10,
Bridget, daughter aged 5 and a half,
John, son, aged 3,
They had another child Frances in 1913, and were then living at Hill Street, Ballina.
Mary Lackey, died at the District Hospital, Ballina, on 10th May 1923.
Her home address was given as Hill Street, Ballina.
She was recorded as being 56 years of age, a Labourer's Widow.
The cause of her death was Acute Nephritis of 2 months duration, and Heart Failure of 3 days duration.
