Funeral services for Moorman Terril Palmer, 85-year-old retired Itawamba farmer, were held from Providence Baptist Church on Feb. 19, 1957. Mr. Palmer died at his home on Tremont, Rt. 1, on Feb. 18 of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been sick for five years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Senter Funeral Home of Fulton had charge. He died in the home where he had lived 50 years. One of his greatest delights was in having friends and relatives visiting his home. He was born in Alabama on April 2, 1871. In early life he was married to Miss Emma Davis, who preceded him in death by about 2 years.
Survivors included three of their five children, Mrs. Edna Cagle of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Maude Jackson of Memphis, Tenn., and William W. Palmer of Tremont; 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews of which one is Clarence Palmer of Fulton.
