Bro. David Lambert will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Thursday, December 22, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Friday, December 23, 2016, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Mrs. Britt, 87, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 19, 1929, in Brookhaven, MS, to Henry L. and Erma Brown Morgan. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church; worked at Stahl Urban Garment Factory in the cutting room for 54 years; and enjoyed reading through her Bible, making candy for her family and friends, and watching her grandchildren playing ball. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry L. and Erma Brown Morgan; husband, James Bennon Britt; son, James Larry Britt; sister, Helen Morgan Timms; and brother, Gerald Morgan.
Survivors are her daughters, Judy Britt Speights and husband Wayne of Brookhaven, MS, and Susan Britt Birdsong and fiancé Essey Rushing of Brookhaven, MS; sons, Don Britt and wife Marji of Wesson, MS, and John Britt of Brookhaven, MS; daughter-in-law, Debbie Wade Britt of Brandon, MS; brother, Ralph Morgan and wife Betty of Kyzer, OR; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
