Eunice Marie Byrd, age 75, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Born in Ennis, Texas, on July 6, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Carry (Heptinstall) Cline. A resident of Cleburne County for most of her life, Mrs. Byrd had been a resident of Rose Bud for thirty-four years, and she was a former resident of Heber Springs. She was a factory worker and a homemaker, and she especially enjoyed traveling and her grandchildren. Her religious belief was Assembly of God. Mrs. Byrd had lived a long and useful life which was marked with great devotion and sacrifice for her home and loved ones. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Louise Martin of Searcy. Survivors include her husband, Norman "Jim" Byrd of Rose Bud; her son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Sylvia Bell of Rose Bud; her daughter, Marie Grubbs of Rose Bud; one brother, Jay Cline of Oklahoma; one sister, Violet Davis of Heber Springs; seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Byrd is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Vernon Ables officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. David Jones, Allen Watkins, Josh Bell, Justin Bell, Jordan Bell, Seth Jones, Michael Parish, and Tyler Bell will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
