Betty Elizabeth Perry, age 78, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Saturday,June 25, 2005, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs. Born in Van Hooks, North Dakota, on March 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Jesse (Hanson) Ryland.Mrs. Perry had lived in Heber Springs for eighteen years and was a former resident of Hot Springs. She was a homemaker and greatly enjoyed her grandchildren. Mrs. Perry attended First Baptist Church of Heber Springs. Her husband, William Dale Perry, preceded her in death on April 15, 1997. Mrs. Perry was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eileen Zieman; and two brothers, Franklin Ryland and Donald Ryland. Survivors include two daughters, Tina Travis of Heber Springs and Glynis Kirsch of Corona, California;one stepdaughter, Merle Ross of Hot Springs; two sisters, Margaret Estvold of New Town, North Dakota, and Lila Fritz of Omaha, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Ashley Travis, Kelby Travis, Marissa Kirsch, Austin Travis, and Danielle Travis. Mrs. Perry is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29, at 2:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Dr. J. R. DeBusk officiating. Interment will follow in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Austin Travis, Michael Travis, Dannie Travis, Bob Ross, and Bobby Ross. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
