Fletcher Phillip Abbott, 80, of Route 2, Box 339, Fayetteville, died Monday in his home.
He was a member of Cumberland Union Baptist Church in Cedar Creek.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cumberland Union Baptist Church by the Revs. Charles Griffith and Mach Roberts. Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mr. Abbott is survived by his wife, Mellie W. Abbott of the home; a daughter, Sherldon Chavis of Fayetteville; a son, Roy P. Abbott of Fayetteville; a sister, Hilda G. Martin of Georgetown, S.C.; a brother, Russell ''Pete'' Abbott of Conway, S.C.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home.
