AKINS, Edward "Eddie" M., Sr., age 75, of Wayne, at rest in Wayne, on May 16, 2014.

Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson and Totowa, then in Toms River for 20 years before moving to Wayne in January 2013. He was a Maintenance Mechanic for S.B. Thomas Inc., Totowa for over 40 years before retiring in 2001. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol for over 15 years.

Beloved husband of the late Judith A. (Nee Shuler) died 2011. Loving Father of Faith Quickel and her husband, Timothy of Flemington, Crystal Sabino of Washingtonville, NY, Michele Falconi of Toms River and Edward M. Akins Jr. and his wife, Monica of Totowa. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
