Robert Evans "Bob" Morden Our beloved father joined his wife Diane of 50 years in heaven on January 2, 2007. Mom passed away at home 29 days prior to Dad. Dad passed away at home after a brief battle with cancer. He was born to Alvin and Lillian Morden, October 16, 1933, in Spearfish, South Dakota. He loved fishing and enjoyed the great outdoors. Dad enjoyed his family, his yard, and garden. He shared many gallons of raspberries. He was in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He spent numerous years in the Army Reserve. He was very proud of his travels around the world. He spent many years working the flour mill circuit. He started in the 1960's at the Spokane Flour Mill, when it closed he went to Canada, and helped with the Rogers Mill, when finished there he ended up in The Dalles Oregon Flour Mill. From there on to the Portland, Oregon Mill, and finally ended up at the Fisher Flour Mill of Seattle, Washington. He was a great millwright. He retired from Salk Middle School as a custodian, working for School District #81. While working at Salk, he put on many barbecues, and also helped take the students fishing, on those special days. Dad always encouraged all the children in his family to enjoy the outdoors. He is survived by his three children: Anita Russell of Spokane, Robert Morden Jr. of Spokane and Marty (Kathy) Morden of Mead, Washington. He had six grandchildren: Kristina and Sarah Russell, Robbie and Patricia Morden of Spokane, and Eddie and Billy Morden of Mead, Washington; three great-grandchildren: Zion, Serenity of Spokane and Kymberlie of Mead, Washington; one brother Sam (Gladys) Morden of Everett; four sisters: Clara (Bob) Heirman of Snohomish, and Pam (Larry) Gonwick of Spokane, Anita Yonko of East Wen-atchee, and Gail (Gary) Berndt of Cle Elum; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Diane, his parents Alvin and Lillian Morden of Wenatchee, and sisters Pat Battermann of East Wenatchee and Marion Morden of Vancouver, and one brother Alvin Morden of Wenatchee, also sister-in-law Beverly Morden and brother-in-law Leonard Battermann of East Wenatchee. Memorial services will be January 22, 2007 at 11:00 am at St. Aloysius Church. After the service we will have the burial of both at Spokane Memorial Gardens. After this service we will have a reception at O'Malley Hall in the back of St. Aloysius Church. SPOKANE CREMATION & BURIAL SERVICE, 2832 N. RUBY
