Sr Agnes Marie Knievel SCE
Sister Agnes Marie was born at Spring Lake AB on November 17, 1915. She made her religious profession with the Sisters of Charity Notre-Dame d'Evron on August 12, 1933. After 74 years of service, Sr Agnes Marie was called home to her Creator on October 28, 2007.
Sister Agnes was a very dedicated and caring registered nurse serving in St Joseph's Hospital, Vegreville; St Louis Hospital in Bonnyville; St Therese Hospital in Tisdale, Sask. and the Bonnyville Health Centre, Bonnyville. Upon retiring from active life she resided at Residence Notre-Dame where she continued her ministry of caring among our Sisters.
The members of her religious community survive Sister Agnes, the Sisters of Charity of Notre-Dame d'Evron; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were very fond of her. Her parents, Otto and Susana Knievel, one sister, Anna (Jean) Frere, three brothers, Anthony, Arthur and Patrick predeceased her.
Celebration of Sister Agnes' life will be on October 31, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. (with viewing 1 hour prior) at St Thomas d'Aquin, 8410 - 89 Street, Edmonton. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14611 St Albert Trail, Edmonton, at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2007.
