Sarah was the daughter of John Lee Williams and Martha Lockhart Mackey.
Born and raised in Picolata on the St. John's River until the age of 12, when she moved to Lake City, FL

In 1857 she 1st married William Niblack and had a son, Albert Leslie
After the deaths of her husband, son and mother, she moved to Georgia to live with her sister.
In 1874 she 2nd married William Spence Kelly in Norcross, Gwinnett, Georgia.
They had one son, Charles John Kelly

Sarah was an author and story teller. She wrote about her life growing up in Picolata during the Seminole War and her life in Alligator (Lake City) during the Civil War.
Her writings were published after her death in the book "Cracker Times and Pioneer Lives"
