Jeanne Abersold was born July 26, 1924, in Elkins, W.Va. She previously lived in Ohio and was a resident of New Kensington, Pa., since 1979.

Mrs. Abersold was a chef at Castle on the Lake restaurant in Lorain. In the Pittsburgh area, she worked at the Bonfire Restaurant.

Survivors include he daughters Datha M. Reynolds of San Diego, Calif., Jo Ann Abraham of New Kensington, Kitte Wynn of Bradenton, Fla., Patricia Johnson of Delmont, Pa., Bonnie J. Wills of Tampa, Fla., and Nancy Sayre of Chester, W.Va.; brother, Andrew S. Ketterman Jr. of Washington, W.Va.; and 19 grandchildren and more than 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons Martin J. Merick and William Andrew Abersold; her parents, Andrew S. and Datha P. Baker Ketterman; brother, James Ketterman; and one granddaughter.

Friends may call Wednesday, noon to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until time of service at 9 p.m., at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. The Rev. Ralph W. Brownfield will officiate.

Committal service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Westwood Cemetery, Morgan St., Oberlin.
