YORK, Carrie R. (Winters) Tome, 66, died on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Elizabethtown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Donald E. Tome, Sr., to whom she was married for 47 years.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. Kathy Harvey Nelson officiating. A viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Salem Community Cemetery.

Born on November 10, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Betty Winters. Carrie was a sewer for Tighe Industries, Inc.

Mrs. Tome enjoyed watching TV, especially soap operas, and camping.

Along with her husband, Donald, Carrie is survived by one son, Donald Tome, Jr. of Lower Windsor; one daughter, Wendy Cobb and her husband, Wayne of Yorkanna; two granddaughters, Ashley Cobb and Amber; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Leila and Owen; two brothers, Moses Winters and his wife, Doris and Howard Winters and his wife, Becky; and two sisters, Gloria Smith and her husband, Jim and Joan Blouse.
