Anthony P. "Bud" Meister age 90 of Plain passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 while holding his loving wife's hand at the Greenway Manor Nursing Home in Spring Green. Bud was born on May 16, 1926 in Bear Creek Township, Sauk County the son of Anton and Catherine (Walsh) Meister. He was married on April 20, 1968 to the former Phyllis Johnson and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage. Bud farmed all of his life, was the Bear Creek Township Treasurer for 16 years, a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Plain American Legion Post. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Meister of Plain, a son, James (Holly) Bindl of Plain, 3 grandchildren, Jason (Nikki) Bindl of Arena, Hope White of Plain, Heather (Richard) Ramos of McFarland, 3 great grandchildren, Sebastian White, Presley and Arianna Ramos, 3 step great grandchildren, Joe, Alisa and Brianna Scales, 2 sisters-in-law, Lorraine Silberman of Lombard, IL, Mary Meister of Sauk City, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Catherine Meister, an infant sister, Mari Meister, 2 brothers, Richard and Corneilus Meister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Loreto. Fr. Scott Emerson will officiate with burial in the Sextonville Cemetery at 1:45 P.M. where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Plain American Legion Post #398. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. with the rosary to be prayed at 4:30 P.M.
