Earl V. Beattie was born on 27 Jan 1883 in Cohoes, NY, and died from pulmonary tuberculosis on 26 Oct 1935 in Albany Hospital, aged 52 years, 8 months, 29 days. Late residence was 136 Simmons Avenue, Cohoes. Husband of Edith M. Shearer Beattie and Effie Montgomery Beattie. Brother of Mrs. John Finney, Miss Minnie Beattie, Mrs. Allen Cameron, and Raymond Beattie. Interment 29 Oct 1935 in the Louis J. Shearer & wife plot, section 114, lot 39.

Earl V. Beattie, a native and lifelong resident of Cohoes, died Saturday night after a long illness. He was prominent in Masonic circles, being a life member of Cohoes Lodge No. 116, F. and A.M., and a member of Cohoes Chapter No. 168, R. A. M.; Bloss Council No. 14; Apollo Commandery No. 15, Knights Templar. He was also a member of the Reformed Church. Besides his wife, the former Effie Montgomery, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. John Finney of Cohoes, Miss Minnie Beattie of Troy, and Mrs. Allen Cameron of Rochester, and a brother, Raymond Beattie of Cohoes. The funeral will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence, 136 Simmons Avenue, Cohoes. Burial will be in Albany Rural Cemetery.
