Virginia married James Duncan Graham, Jr., (9 May 1841 - 6 July 1900) on 4 Jan 1862 in Washington, DC, as his first wife.

James was born in Washington, DC, to James Duncan Graham, Sr., (1799-1865) and his first wife, Charlotte H. (Meade) Graham (1803-1843). It is incorrect that someone wrote in Charlotte's bio that she only had 3 children. She and James had 6 children.

In the 1880 U.S. Census, James and Virginia were living in Washington, DC.
