Alexander H. Aldrich was born in New Hampshire, Oct 2, 1834. When six weeks old the family moved to Rochester, New York. He left home when young and resided for some time in Wisconsin. During the Pike's Peak excitement, he with others made and over-land to Colorado in search of gold. Not being very successful, he came to Cameron in 1860. He served some time in the war of the rebellion. Deceased was 58 years of age. He leaves a wife and three children. His mother, who is now 82 years old, three brothers and three sisters, reside at Chatham. .
The funeral service was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence, Rev. J. T. Ogle officiating, after which the remains were buried in the Packard cemetery..
