Lorene Borneman, 90, of Mishawaka, died peacefully Thursday, April 21, 2022, at her home. She was born June 21, 1931 in Goshen to Nathan and Lucy (Steury) Schrock.
She is survived by three children, Star (Larry) DeLater of Osceola, Tom (Carol) Borneman of South Bend and Cyndi (Shawn) Wagster; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Shaw; five sisters, Rose Aust, Marie Detwiler, Ada Axel, Ruth Sleppy and Lilian Smoots and two brothers, Ervin and Melvin Schrock.
A former member of the V.F.W., Lorene worked as a welder at Selmer Instruments (Conn-Selmer).
Private services will be held and burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
