HOLMESVILLE -- Nancy L. Hosfeld, 81, of Holmesville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at the Holmes County Home, Holmesville, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Millersburg with Father Stephen L. Krile officiating. Burial will take place at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Home, 7260 SR 83, Holmesville, Ohio 44633.

Nancy was born Sept. 9, 1935 in Glenmont and was the daughter of Louis Dean and Bernadine Marie (Bernard) Butler. On Jan. 26, 1957 she married Therald W. Quillin and he preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1959. She later married Joseph L. Hosfeld on July 28, 1962, and he survives.

Nancy was a homemaker. She also worked as a telephone operator and was a school bus driver for Southeast Local School District. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church of Millersburg.

Nancy was in Mother's Club and was on the Board of Elections. She enjoyed horses, reading, crocheting and shopping. Nancy loved horseback riding and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her six children, Deborah (Chuck) Donley of Holmesville, Deanna (James) Quillin Harman of Virginia Beach, Va., Dorraina T. Frederick of Apple Creek, Darlene (Larry) Stoltzfus of Baton Rouge, La., Dorothy (Tom) Leppla of Millersburg and Donald J. Hosfeld of Holmesville; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margie Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Therald W. Quillin; two brothers, James (Madeline) Butler and Joseph Butler; and a granddaughter.
