ERHARDT HAUPT

Erhardt H. Haupt, 77, 0f 6320A Hartlaub Lake Rd., Manitowoc, died
Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Haupt was born April 3, 1900, in the Town of Newton, son of
the late August and Bertha Vogt Haupt. He attended Newton schools
and married Erna Pleuss May 2, 1922, at Newtonburg. She preceded
him in death Feb. 25, 1956. He married Alma Schwantz July 12, 1961,
at Newtonburg. Mr. Haupt was formerly employed at Wisconsin
Aluminum Foundry, Manitowoc, and was a member of Manitowoc County
Sheriff and Deputy Assn.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, (private); a daughter,
(private); a step-son, (private); two brothers, Siegfried and
Hilbert of Manitowoc; as siter, Mrs. Edwin (Nora) Krueger, of Rt.
3, Manitowoc, 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, from
4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at the church from noon Friday until the
time of service.

PLEUSS-HAUPT WEDDING AT NEWTON TODAY
A pretty church wedding was solemnized this afternoon at two o'clock at the
St. Paul's Lutheran church at Newton, when Miss Erna Pleuss, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Pleuss of Manitowoc Rapids, became the birde of Erhardt Haupt,
son of Mr. and Mrs. August Haupt of Newton. The Maid of honor was Miss Linda
Pleuss and the best man was Edmund Vogt. The other attending couples where
the Misses Eleanore Haupt and Hertha Pleuss and Milton Haupt and Norma Pleus.
Following the marriage, a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's
parents, and this evening a dance is to be held.
The newly wedded couple will reside at Liberty where the groom has a farm.
