Margaret Ellen "Margie" (Lee) Dixon, widow of Jay Earl Dixon, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 30, 2016, with her family by her side.

She was born July 6, 1935, and was the last surviving child of seven children of the late Frank Albritton and Mary Ellen (Gill) Lee.

Margie was a wonderful and inspiring mother to three sons, Jeffery Earl, Hugh Gregory, and Kevin Douglas Dixon. She is survived by her sons; her grandchildren, John Paul Dixon, Brandon Dixon, Casey Bryant, Katelin Hatfield, Rachel and Julia Dixon; and many nieces and nephews.

Margie loved her family and friends. She was generous, compassionate, and welcoming. Near the end of her life, she recalled with fondness the years in the 1990's she spent operating a concession stand on the ninth hole of Gypsy Hill Municipal Golf Course. "The golfers," is the way she referred to the many people who shared the Joys of summer days with her.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.henryfuneralhome.net.
