He married Mary Steele Blocker on August 8, 1912 in Spokane County, Washington. Until the 1920s, he and his wife resided in Spokane, Washington. By 1930, they had made their home in Houston, Texas.
Obituary
"Graveside services for H.P. MABRY, native of Jefferson and resident of Houston, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Mimosa Hall Plantation Cemetery in Leigh. Rev. William H. Hurd, Rector of Christ Episcopal Church conducted the service. A retired banker, Mr. Mabry died at 2 p.m. Saturday in a Houston hospital. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Harris County, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Blocker Mabry, of Houston; three nieces, Mrs. George Cleveland Jr., of Houston, Mrs. R.M. Claypool, of Bellaire, and Mrs. Walter Martin, of Bellaire; and one nephew, Webster Blocker, of Fort Worth."
H.P. MABRY was laid to rest on January 2, 1967 on the grounds of Webster-Mimosa Hall Plantation Cemetery.
