Daniel Paul "Danny" Abernathy was a son of Paul Hicks Abernathy and Madge Mitchem Abernathy of Shelby, Cleveland Co., NC and North Augusta, Aiken Co., SC. He was married to Janice Howe Abernathy. They were parents of two children:
1. Whitney Erin Abernathy born about 1981-82); and
2. William Frayne Abernathy born about 1984-85.
Danny was survived by his wife, his children, his parents, and a brother, Larry William Abernathy of Clemson, SC.
