Frances Cannon Lee Hart was born in Salt Lake City on May 18, 1919. She was the daughter of Lettie Taylor and Tracy Young Cannon. Frances graduated with honors from the University of Utah. Frances played the piano, organ, and violin.
Frances married Wayne Harmon Lee on August 30, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they had eight children, which they raised together in the Canyon Rim and Bountiful areas. After Wayne's death, Frances married Edward LeRoy Hart on June 7, 2002 in the Jordan River Temple.
Frances held many church callings, including Relief Society and Young Women's President, stake and ward music positions, and as a teacher in several church organizations. She served a Washington, DC Temple Mission and a Service Mission at Crosland Assisted Living.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Lettie Taylor and Tracy Young Cannon and Carol Hinckley Cannon; husbands, Wayne Harmon Lee and Edward LeRoy Hart; children, Richard Cannon and Elizabeth; granddaughter, Cindy Colton Weeks; son-in-law, Fred Fenton; and siblings, Taylor, Melvin, Ralph, and Judith. Frances is survived by children, Jane Fenton, Maralyn (David) Colton, Wendell (Joan) Lee, Russell (Jan) Lee, Stephen (Diane) Lee, and Michael (Macie) Lee; and siblings, Rose Anne Gerstner and Emerson Cannon. She has twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The family wishes to thank Atria Assisted Living, Rocky Mountain Hospice, and, especially, Jane Fenton, for their expert and loving care.
Viewing and funeral services will be held in the South Jordan River Stake Center, 1540 West 11400 South, South Jordan. The viewing will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and Friday, January 10, 2017 from 9:00-9:45 a.m.
