He spent most of his life in Kansas, and moved to Utah with his family in 1946. They lived at 986 Lake Street in Salt Lake City.

Leo worked as a clerk at the Post Office at the time of his death.

He passed away at home from a heart attack the night of July 13, 1951. He was 61 years old.
