Dan passed away Sunday at his home after an illness.
He was the son of Carlo and Louise DeFoggi Acquaviva.

He was employed in the masonry department at Armco-Butler Works and retired in 1977 after 41 years.

Mr. Acquaviva was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge of Butler, the Sons of Italy and the Cubs A.S.A.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Gagliano Acquaviva, to whom he was married for 65 years; three sons, Donald Jr. and Carl Acquaviva, both of Butler, and Patrick Acquaviva of Penn Township; a daughter, Apryle Acquaviva of Butler; two brothers, Joseph and Leonard Acquaviva, both of Butler; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Brough of Butler.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev. James Dolan officiating.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
