Carla Kay Wilson, 59, of Hampstead, died Sunday, April 17, 2016, at home. Carla was born December 18, 1956, in Delbarton, W.Va., a daughter of Leslie Preece Sr. and the late Patricia Aleen Burchett Preece.
Carla was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend who loved art, music and reading and the beach.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Brian, Wilson of Raleigh; daughter, Sarah Alonso (Heriberto) of San Diego, Calif.; son, Max Wilson of Hampstead; sister, Sharon Hale (Glenn) of Surf City; brother, Leslie Preece Jr. (Joanne) of Wake Forest; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the service.
