Mr. Wantz is survived by his wife; a son, Ron C. Wantz of Bellmeade; three daughters, Debra S. Bucher of Bloomsburg, Barbara Hatch of Altoona and Mary Jean Conway of Phoenixville; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl of Littlestown, Earl of Washington and Ned of North Carolina; and two sisters, Shirley Bowen of Dover and Helen Kuhn of Hanover. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn R. Cherry; a daughter, Kathryn M. Ingham; and two brothers, Ken and Pete.
Mr. Wantz retired in 1993 as a mechanic supervisor at Beckwith Machinery, Clearfield. He was an Army veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood; the Tyrone Elks; the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bellwood; and the Masonic Lodge. He was a former member of the Jaffa Shrine.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Rupp officiating, with interment in Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
