Clair Anton Abou Kasm has ascended to the gates of heaven to the welcoming arms of the Lord after her vigilant battle with a long-time illness on January 2, 2017.

Clair was a lifelong, devoted and faithful Christian who embodied the Lord, Jesus Christ. Her faith never wavered despite all she faced, even in the most painful phases of her illness. She never complained or feared saying "I accept the path the Lord has chosen for me." She was an example of what God would consider His saint. Clair was a moral educator with class and much wisdom. However, first and foremost, she was a dedicated, loving and humble mother and wife. She epitomized the meaning of word "mother", the meaning of the word "wife". She was a kind and soft-spoken soul, and always sacrificed herself for her family-all the way to the end. She was a patient, loving soul-many of whom met and knew her, would instantly find peace and love in her presence. Her children and grandchildren were her life and her whole being, the reason for her everything and the reason for her to live.

Clair is the loving and faithful wife of Najib Makhoul Aboughannam, loving and dedicated mother of Hassan Abou Ghannam, Necholas Ghannam, and Loay Ghannam. She is survived by her daughters n law Maysoun Ghannam and Farida Neama, grandchildren-Clair and Najib Abou Ghannam and Alexander and Elias Ghannam. May the Lord rest her in peace.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 6330 W 127th St, Palos Heights IL at 6:00 p.m. followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 4th at St. Mary Orthodox Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
