Mrs. Beulah M. Thayer, 67, died Aug. 15, 1965, in a Hillsboro hospital.

Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this evening in the chapel of Macy and Son and Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. James Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery.

Mrs. Thayer, a native of Illinois, became a resident of Yamhill when six years old. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Tillamook. Most of her life had been spent teaching in Cove Orchard and Yamhill schools. For the past year she had been a teacher at St. James Grade School.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, McMinnville Senior Citizens and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also was a past president of the Yamhill County Federation of Women's Clubs and had been active in the March of Dimes.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Geiwitz and Mrs. Delores Behrman, Forest Grove, and Mrs. Eileen Hermans, Yamhill; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
