SIOUX CITY, IA | Lucille H. Babcock, 82, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at her daughter's home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at Morningside Assembly of God. Pastor Johnny Helton and Lucille's daughter, Rev. Barbara Widner will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday with the family present 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Alfonso Solis officiating. Lucille was born July 1, 1934 on a farm near Ord, Nebr. She grew up in Sioux City with her parents, Martin and Helen (Malcom) Stading. She graduated from East High School.

In 1952 Lucille married John Coil. To this union two children were born, Gary and Barb. She later married Martin Babcock in 1983. He died Dec. of 2013.

Lucille worked at I.B.P in quality control, at Goodwill Industries as a clerk and in child care off and on. She also volunteered at New Perspectives.

She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and formerly of the Church of The Nazarene.

Lucille enjoyed her morning coffee group at McDonald's.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Olivia) Coil of Windsor Heights, IA and Barb Widner of Sioux City; 6 grandchildren, Jason, Jarred, Yolanda, Rachel, Leah and Sarah; and 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a brother and his wife, Tom and Mary Stading and son-in-law, Dean Widner.
