Frances Tarbet, age 85, of Higden, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 18, 2005. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, on May 4, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Robert Grady and Melba (Holloway) Durham. A resident of Arkansas since 1985, Mrs. Tarbet was a retired sales clerk for Sears Roebuck. She was a member of the Holiday Hills Methodist Church in Greers Ferry. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John P. Baucum, Paley O. Gragg, and Frank Tarbet. Mrs. Tarbet is survived by one daughter, Paulette Rickert and her husband, Fred, of Higden; one stepdaughter, Andrea Hermann and her husband, George, of Houston, Texas; one sister, Virginia Farley and her husband, Bill, of Monroe, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Gene P. Baker, III, Gretchen Baker, F. John Rickert, Madeleine Rickert, and Kristen Low; and two nieces, Mary Graham and Betty Haywood. Mrs. Tarbett is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, Jan. 21, at 3:00 P.M. in the Higden-McLehaney Cemetery with Rev. Denzel Stokes officiating. Memorials may be made to the Greers Ferry Ambulance, Cleburne County Hospice, or Holiday Hills Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
