Inez Nonibah Yazzie, 91, of Rehoboth, N.M., passed from this life Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, in Gallup. Inez was born Dec. 23, 1925, in Carson, N.M.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Sampson T. Yazzie; and parents, Peter and Glenaibah Yazzie. She is survived by six children; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild; four brothers and five sisters.
A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Desert View Funeral Home, North U.S. Highway 491 in Shiprock. A viewing will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. and funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Oasis Church, 1601 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington. The casket will not be reopened at the end of the service. Interment will be at the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, 59 Road 6575 in Kirtland.
