82, of Plainfield, passed away on January 4, 2017. Shirley was a spunky and vibrant woman who truly enjoyed the company of those around her. She was a Zeeb at Howe High School, a member of Kingsway Christian Church where she lead the Robes and Towel Ministry, enjoyed Tuesday with Friends at the Plainfield library and had countless laughs with her COD group- The Classy Old Dames.
Shirley will be dearly missed by her children, Karen (Jeff)Adamson, David Abner, and Mike Abner; her grandchildren, Derek, Jessica, and Courtney Passehl, Danielle and Cole Abner, and Justin and Zachary Abner; and her great granddaughters, Mia and Ava Gordon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford; her parents, Jesse and Jennie Stewart; and her brother, Jerry Stewart.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Family Funeral Care. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Lincoln Memory Garden.
