Joseph Edward Dymacek 1912-1990

Joseph Edward Dymacek, a lifetime area resident, died May 7, 1990, at his home in Anthony, Kansas at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 6 days.

Joe was born February 1, 1912, in Caldwell, Kansas. Prior to his service in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II as a aircraft mechanic, he worked at J.C. Penney's in Anthony and at Beech Aircraft Company in Wichita. After the war, he returned to Caldwell with his wife and was engaged in farming in the Caldwell and Anthony area until retirement in 1974.

He is survived by his wife Wilma, of the home, a son Bill and his wife, Merilee, of Eudora, Kansas; two grandchildren, Kristen and Wendy; two sisters, Bessie and her husband, Eugene Neal of Caldwell, Kansas, Helen Burke, of Los Alamos, New Mexico, sister-in-law, Maxine and her husband Glen Allen, also of Caldwell; three nieces; one grandniece; three grandnephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 1990, at the Elliott Mortuary chapel in Anthony, Kansas with Rev. Vernon Whitmore officiating. Mrs. Helen Whitmore sang "How Great Thou Art" and "He The Pearly Gates Will Open". Mrs. Izalia Duwe served as the accompanist.

Casket bearers were Gayle York, Sam Otis, Danny Eslinger, Jim Fox, Herbert Hoover, J.R. Nichols, and Robert Corbett. Interment was in the Spring Grove Cemetery at Anthony, Kansas.

Memorials may be given in memory of Joe to the Assembly of God Church. Elliott Mortuary of Anthony, Kansas was in charge of the arrangements.
