Mrs. Virginia Ann CHANDLER, widow of the late H.B. CHANDLER died at the home of her son, Hix CHANDLER at 1:40 am, Oct. 11, after an illness of five weeks, at the age of 93 years. A member of one of the pioneer families, she moved to Howard County as a small child and resided there for the remainder of her life.
Born January 27, 1857, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram JONES of Nashville. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A.L. BURGESS, of Konawa, Oklahoma, two sons, B.L. and Hix, both of Nashville, 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. C.E. Banks conducting. Burial was at County Line Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Latimer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
