Very peacefully Pauline Behrsin (nee Gille), a resident of Pinecrest Home for the Aged, passed away on June 27, 2011 at the age of 92.

She is survived by her children: Harold (Deborah), Kenneth (Cindy), Victor (Linda), Charlie (Marilyn), Phyllis and Beverly (Ron). Also she leaves her grandchildren: Sheryl-Anne, Cynthia-Lynne, Lori, Kendall, Debbie, Colleen, Trish, Carrie, Clinton, Joey, Lawrence and many, many great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, son Wally,

sisters Elsie and Edith, brother Bert and parents Carl and Ida Gille.

Pauline was born in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba on June 22, 1919. She relocated to Kenora in the 1950?s when Alfred's work brought them to the area. She continued to raise her six

children while also caring for her parents. Pauline enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and collecting many brooches that she could be seen wearing every day.

She moved to Pinecrest Home for the Aged in 1993 where she found her spot at the front door to greet all visitors and staff as they entered.

There will be a private family celebration of life with burial to follow at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.

In honor of Pauline, donations to the Lake of the Woods Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
