David R. Houser, 72, of Tamaqua, passed away on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale.
Widower of Maxine J. (Fulton) Houser, who passed away on Aug. 26,2016, he is survived by sons, Matthew D. Houser, and Michael J. Houser and his fiancée Jael Sullivan; sister, Mrs. Linda Novack, wife of Daniel; grandchildren, Baylee, Brielle, and Rowan all of Tamaqua. David was a member of the Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and
the Keystone Hunt & Fish Club both in Tamaqua. David worked for the former Fauzio Brothers Stripping & Hauling Company as a welder and then worked for Bethlehem Mines, and Lehigh Coal & Navigation of Coaldale until retiring.
Born Sunday, Dec. 24, 1944 in Tamaqua, the son of the late Herman L. and Margaret (Ferkel) Houser.
Service: Funeral service on Friday, Jan. 13,
2017 at 11 a.m. with Vicar White to officiate.
Friends will be received at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 655 E. Broad St.,
Tamaqua from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
Private Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
