B. S. Hines (Male) State of Nevada Indigent. Committed by S. H. Wright Judge of the 2nd Judicial District, County of Ormsby County, State of Nevada Feby 2nd 1869.
Age 45 years; native of North Carolina; has been in Nevada one year; occupation, lawyer. The evidence of insanity is, in conversation showing mind wandering - unable to connect idias; is neither homicidal, suicidal nor incendiary. This attack appeared about two weeks since and is the first, disease increasing; no permanent hallucination; is dangerous from being incompetent to care for himself; has no disposition to injure others; is filthy and destructive; uses tobacco constantly; no change in health; cause of insanity, despondency; class typomania (probably typhomania - delirium from typhus or typhoid fever).
Condition of patient when received about the same as represented in above abstract of commitment.
Admitted February 4th 1869. Has no property. Died February 25th 1869 of Paralysis.
