Phyliss D. Hargrave was born on May 16, 1924 and passed away suddenly on January 10, 2017 in Fresno, California at the age of 92.
Phyliss was a for most of her life always tending to her husband and family's needs. She was the right hand woman to her husband throughout their entire marriage. She attended many functions and social club events right alongside Keith such as Cremation Association of North America, Lion's Club International and many other groups. She was also active herself having memberships within the Parlor Lecture Club, Fresno Art Center, La Comida Guild and was recently recognized for her tenure in the Fig Garden Women's Club.
She and her husband enjoyed their free time at their family cabin in Bass Lake, traveling the world with China being her favorite destination and most of all. Phyliss never took a cruise she didn't like. Her kind, caring spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Phyliss was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Keith Hargrave in 2014.
Phyliss was the mother of Tamara Hargrave, Deirdre Hargrave and Kelby Hargrave and his wife Cindi. She was the loving grandmother of Thea Solis and her husband David, Morgan Weibel and her fiance Dan McCormick, Stacey Potts and her husband Richard, Evan Hargrave and his fiance Monique Maldonado, Tyler Hargrave and Brandon Hargrave. Phyllis was the great grandmother to Olive Hargrave and Paisley and Eliza Hargrave.
A celebration of life service will be held in the Hargrave Family Chapel of Chapel of the Light Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place with her husband Keith in the Garden of Love Mausoleum at Chapel of the Light.
Remembrances may be made in Phyliss' honor to the Fig Garden Women's Club, 4550 N. Van Ness Blvd., Fresno, CA 93704 or to the donor's favorite charity.
