ROBERT S. "BOB" LITTLE, 73, of 140 Elsenhower Drive, Chambersburg, died Sunday, Nov. 22, in his home.

Born Nov. 6, 1925 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Alson S. "Si" and M. Grace Snyder Little. He married Victoria "Vicki" Martin Little on July 25, 1947 in Greencastle. They lived in Philadelphia, and New York, before returning to the Waynesboro area. They later lived in Vienna, Virginia, Frederick, Maryland, and Roanoke, Virginia, before returning to Chambersburg, PA.

He was President of Waynesboro High School Class of 1943. Served in Army Air Corps, then graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Mr. Little was employed as a pharmacist for People's Drug Stores for 35-1/2 years, was a manager in Hagerstown, and a district manager in Vienna and Roanoke, Va. and Frederick, Md. He retired Dec. 31, 1987. He became involved in Franklin County Republican politics and was elected 4 times as Republican Jury Commissioner for Franklin County, the last one in May 1985. He followed his father, Si Little, and grandfather, Harry Snyder, to that office.

Mr. Little was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro; the Acacia Lodge 586 Free and Accepted Masons, Waynesboro; the Zembo Temple, Harrisburg; the Republican Ben Franklin Society; the Chambersburg Area Republican Club, where he was active in the campaigns; the National Train Collectors Association; the National Lionel Model Railroad Club; the Norland Chapter 3261 AARP; and the National AARP. He served on the board of directors of the Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Chambersburg. Mr Little also volunteered at the Eisenhower National Historic Site in Gettysburg for 11 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Vicki Lynne Waller of Conway, S.C., and Carole Ann Kline of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Melissa Waller McGee, Jason Waller, Shannon Kline, and Sarah Kline; two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Candace Waller; one brother, Jack V. Little, Sr. of Waynesboro; three nieces, Sally Yingst Manning, Cindy Little Mann, and Laurie Little Wright; and one nephew, Jack Little, Jr.

He was predeceased by one great-granddaughter, Ashley Marie McGee, in 1987; one sister, Frances Margaret Little Yingst, in 1981; and one brother, Lieutenant Alson S. "Bubby" Little, Jr., in June 1944 while serving in World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Faith United Methodist Church, 104 N. Potomac St., Waynesboro, with the Rev. Dr. Lynn D. Trutt officiating. Interment will be in Quincy Cemetery, Quincy. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Masonic memorial services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home by his lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 96 W. Main St., Waynesboro 17268; to the Coyle Free Library, 102 N. Main St., Chambersburg 17201; or to the Faith United Methodist Church, 104 N. Potomac St., Waynesboro 17268.
