He was survived by his wife, Lilly Mae (Meece) Mounce; his sons, Clovis Mounce of Greenwood, Indiana, Vernis Mounce of White River Junction, Vermont, Carlon Mounce of Maywood, Indiana, Clemon Mounce of Chicago, Illinois, Jackie Mounce of Somerset, Kentucky, and Dewey Mounce of Bluffton, Indiana; his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Whitis of Dayton, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his half-brothers, Reverend Lonnie Meece, Lloyd Meece, and Leonard Meece; his step-brother, Dee Meece of Somerset, Kentucky; his sisters, Mrs. Raymond Godby, Mrs. Henry Stephens, Mrs. Gilbert Waddle, and Mrs. Stanton Goff, all of Somerset, Kentucky and Mrs. Ella Gholson of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his half-sister, Mrs. Haley Walker of Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George M. Mounce and Hester (Tomlinson) Mounce.
Funeral services were held at the Clay Hill Baptist Church with Brother Milford Hargis and Brother Lester Phelps officiating.
Pulaski Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
