Kenneth Eugene McCardle, 76, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his home in Brandon. Visitation is Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 12 Noon until the 2 pm Chapel Service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Kenneth was born on December 5, 1940 in Hazlehurst, MS to the late Charles Aubrey and Mary Edna Broome McCardle. He graduated from Hazlehurst High School in 1959 and attended Copiah Lincoln Junior College in Wesson. He also attended Cook’s Electronics in Jackson. He had worked at Eastman Kodak as a service Engineer for over 24 years. Kenneth had lived in Brandon area for 36 years and was a former resident of Pearl and Hazlehurst. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church in Pearl and had attended Sardis Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, MS.

Kenneth loved traveling with his wife, and he loved his dogs that he called his “baby girls”, Zoe and Mittie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Patsy Brown; two brothers, H. E. McCardle and Dunk McCardle.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Faye Nations McCardle of Brandon, MS; two step-children, Victoria DeShaye Barr of Brandon, MS and David Conway Barr (Marlea Bridgers) of Nesbit, MS; one sister Sherrell Reeves of Polkville, MS; one brother Jimmie Dean McCardle (Dorothy) of Pearl, MS; and four step-grandchildren, Peyton Barr, Reagan Barr, Alyssa Barr, and David Andrew Barr.
