James M. Gee, a resident of Calgary since 1909, and a veteran of the Fenian raid, passed away Friday morning at his residence, 127 Fourteenth avenue east. The remains will be taken east for interment.
He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Miss Ann M. Gee and Mrs. E. Hoad, of Calgary, and four sons, George, Fred and James, of Calgary, and Walter, of Kamloops, B.C.
He had made a wide circle of friends during his long sojourn in the city and his death is regretted by many acquaintances.
Private services were held at Foster and Foster's undertaking establishment at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night, and on Sunday the remains were taken to the deceased's birthplace, near London, Ontario, where he had lived for 60 years before coming to Calgary.

If there is no marker, the Dorchester Union cemetery regulations require that plot owner (or the descendant(s)/beneficiaries of the Estate(s)) would have to give permission for a marker to be placed. James Markham Gee would likely be eligible for a military marker.
