Mrs. Ruby May Hays, age 96, of Wilburn, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2005, at Beverly HealthCare in Heber Springs. Born in White County, Arkansas, on November 2, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Mollie Elizabeth (Butler) Allen. Mrs. Hays was a homemaker, and she had been a resident of Cleburne County for most of her life. She was a member of the Wilburn General Baptist Church. Her husband, Jesse Hays, preceded her in death on January 3, 1976. Mrs. Hays was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and two grandsons. She is survived by two daughters: Helen Hurst and Glema Lacy, both of Wilburn; one brother, Telford Allen of Heber Springs; one sister, Susie Spears of North Little Rock; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hays is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, at 10:00 A.M. in the Olmstead Chapel. Interment will follow in the Magness Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
