Dorothy Bell Choate passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at her home in Liberty, KY. She was 103 years young. Born February 20, 1913 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late O.T. and Cora Peck Allen. She was a housewife and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Choate enjoyed cooking, gardening and visiting with her family.

Survivors include three sons, Jack G. (Mary) Choate of Barbourville; Kenneth K. (June) Choate of Liberty; Ronnie M. (Jutta) of Greenwood, Indiana; four daughters, Alta L. (Paul) McFarland of Stanford; Mona Joyce (Bobby) Granger of Albany; Mildred C. (Hubert) Jones and Brenda S. (Robert) Ponder, both of Greenwood, Indiana; Brother, Johnny Allen of Florida; and sister, Diana Whited of Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Choate is preceded in death by her husband, George Christopher Choate; son, William Choate; four brothers; and two sisters.Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church with Bro.’s Brandon Wilson and Dwight Coffman. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery.
