1900 Census in Topeka Ward 6, Shawnee, KS, finds Mary with her parents and siblings: George W Tincher 43, Mary E Tincher 42, Fay Tincher 16, Bessie Tincher 12, Ruth H Tincher 11 and Mary Tincher 2. Her father was working as a foreman in a book bindery.

Death of father: George died in 1906

In 1909 her mother is listed as the widow of George W Tincher on the Topeka, KS, City Directory.

1910 Census-Topeka, KS - Shows her mother remarried to a Charles W Hixon for less than 1 yr: Charles W Hixon 49, Mary E Hixon 50, Ruth H Tincher 21 and Mary Tincher 12

The El Paso City Directory of 1917 shows Mary, her widowed mother Mary E and a sister Ruth Tincher (will marry Fellows) residing 24 Fisks Apartments. Mother was listed as the widow of George W Tincher.

Mary was known as Miss Hub Mobile when she was in newspaper vehicles ads in El Paso, TX. There is a photo of her in a vehicle.

NOTES: Sister Fay Tincher was a lively dark-haired comedienne of the silent film era, she was sometimes referred to as "the female Charlie Chaplin."
