Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA):

U.S. Navy Fireman 2nd Class Martin A. Gara, 20, of Chicago, killed during the attack on the USS Oklahoma (BB-37) in World War II was accounted for on Nov. 6, 2017 and will be buried December 4, 2018 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

On Dec. 7, 1941, Gara was assigned to the USS Oklahoma, which was moored at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, when the ship was attacked by Japanese aircraft.
