William Henry Tison, 72, of Callahan FL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 14, 2017.

William was born on December 31, 1944 in Jacksonville FL to George and Irene Tison. He proudly served his country in the US Army, was an active member of Lannie Road Baptist Church, loved fishing and inviting people to church for revivals and sings. In his younger days he worked in law enforcement at the Prince Georgetown County Police Dept and later started his own business in the Oil Industry in Maryland where he worked for almost 25 years.

He is survived by his brother; George H. Tison, sisters; Mary L. Hemphill and Addie E. Crawford, sons; Jason A. Tison and Zachary D. Tison, daughters; Erin N. and Sarah E. He was preceded in death by his son; Matthew R. Tison, brothers; Lawrence Russell Tison and Earl Sellers Tison.

A viewing will be held at the Lannie Road Baptist Church on Tuesday January 17, 2017 from 5-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be heldat the church on Wednesday January 18, 2017 beginning at 11:00 am with Bro. Buddy Wimberly and Bro. Danny Mallard officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Little James May Jr, Danny Mallard, Ray Swanson, David Chase, Jerry Burns, and John Krulish. Honorary pallbearer will be Paul Hygema, Richard Dees and Daniel Hendricks
